CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN
LEARNING AND TEACHING
by Adrianna Truby, Academic Dean
IN THE WEEKS LE A DING U P TO CA MPUS CLOS U R E,
Palmer Trinity was well positioned to embrace the
opportunities the closure presented us, rather than focus
on the difficulties. PTS invests heavily in technology; we
not only have the systems, devices, and leadership with
expertise in place, but we also have a school-wide "team"
approach and a unique spirit to embrace challenges
together.
On March 13, before we officially closed campus, we
adopted the motto, "Campus is closed but School is open''
and planned for a full day of technology training to ensure
all faculty were prepared to adopt Google Classroom
as our common learning platform. Here, we found an
opportunity: many PTS teachers were already using
Classroom and other excellent learning platforms and
they were eager to collaborate with their colleagues.
