Dax Tejera '03 writes, "Veronica and I celebrated the birth of our firstborn, Sofia Melffi, on November 30, 2020. Veronica was due December 4 and wanted very much to avoid delivering in November because of a crush of family birthdays that month. On Sunday, November 29, I returned home from producing ABC's This Week and Veronica spent the afternoon reading on the couch. I suggested she turn on the lights to the Christmas tree we had gotten early. Right as she sprung up to do just that… her water broke. Sofia Melffi was born at 3:08 a.m. on the same day as her uncle and godfather, my brother Justin. All are well and strong. It was a prolonged Christmas miracle!"
