IT H AS BEEN OV ER A Y E A R since theaters shut their doors all over the world. Even New York City's Theater District remains darkā€”so it should come as no surprise that keeping the drama program alive at Palmer Trinity School this year has been an exciting challenge. In fall 2020, both the Upper School Troupe 5458 and Junior Troupe 88939 were able to compete in a virtual edition of the annual Florida State District Thespian Competitions. Between the two troupes, a total of 40 students rehearsed 55 pieces online, from monologues, solo musical pieces and scenes, to pantomimes and small group pieces. In lieu of in-person competitions, these pieces were then filmed and submitted to the festival for judging.
