'17 Class Agent Needed Charles Bailey '17 writes, "I am graduating UCF in May and joining Hudson River Trading, in New York City, as Core Developer (Software Engineer) in August." Curt Lary '17 graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and founded Hextronics, a company that makes drone technology more efficient and feasible. As an article on Medium explains, "Hextronics works with a team of talented engineers to expand its platform and technology. With its premier product, the ONE, Hextronics is looking to become a vanguard of economical Drone-in-a- Box technologies. Three components are typically required in automatic drone flight: 1) sending control signals, 2) secure launch sites and 3) fuel. Within the product design of the Hextronics ONE — the box-shaped resilient drone station — all three of these components are supplied automatically. Hextronics is leading the way in the development of new computer vision applications by virtue of aerial autonomy. Computer vision is the process of analyzing a stream of images and extracting highly-valuable data from them. The applications of this technology are projected to grow immensely in the coming decade, and Hextronics ONE will accelerate this growth by providing resources for recurring, autonomous image capturing. Hextronics is founded on the philosophy of democratizing drone technology. 'We want to build a world where all businesses can have the opportunity to utilize the sky — not just through the sole hands of tech giants as it is now,' says Lary. The Hextronics ONE is currently moving into scaled production with distributors worldwide to ensure its product delivery by Q4 of 2021. Those who are interested in acquiring the Hextronics ONE or becoming a partner can reach out to Mr. Lary at curt@hextronics.tech."
