I teach IB (International
Baccalaureate) Exercise Science,
Honors Anatomy & Physiology,
and 9th Grade Biology.

The sense of community and
connections found at PTS are
unmatched. The alumni network
continues to strengthen with each
passing year and the relationships
that I have made among the
faculty and staff are extremely
supportive and meaningful.
WHY DID YOU COME BACK TO PTS
TO WORK?
I have worked as a physical
therapist for Nicklaus Children's
Hospital for the last 14 years
and I was excited by the
opportunity to teach material that
I am passionate about, such as
Anatomy and Exercise Science,
to the wonderful students at PTS.
This has been a great experience
and career change for me thus far.
HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR
ROLES AS AN ALUM AND A
MEMBER OF THE FACULTY/
STAFF? DO YOU FIND ANY
CHALLENGES OR ADVANTAGES IN
THIS DUAL ROLE?
I feel the students enjoy knowing
that some of their teachers
are also alumni and they like
discussing how things have
changed on campus over the
years. They have also found my
senior yearbook in the Library.

PERSPECTIVE AS BOTH AN

OF THE PTS COMMUNITY?
I am loving this new chapter in my
career and enjoying giving back
to my PTS community in this
new role.
WHAT DO YOU TEACH/DO AT PTS?
I work as the Middle School Learning Specialist. Additionally, I teach
seventh-grade English and lead a sixth-grade Discovery class, enabling me
to connect with a wide range of middle school students.

PTS faculty goes above and beyond by providing extra support to ensure
every student feels comfortable and can thrive. The unparalleled level
of care and support extends to both students and colleagues. It is so
comforting to know that I can always rely on a fantastic group
of individuals.
