I S A B E L L A M A R T I N O ' 1 8 WHAT DO YOU TEACH/DO AT PTS? I am the Alumni Relations Coordinator. I also serve as an Advisor to a group of Seniors. WHAT ASPECTS OF THE SCHOOL'S CULTURE OR VALUES DO YOU FIND MOST ENDURING OR MEANINGFUL, BOTH AS A STUDENT AND NOW AS A FACULTY/STAFF MEMBER? I find the emphasis on travel to be unique within our school's culture. I was fortunate to be part of the first group that traveled to Scotland with Mr. Roberts and Mr. Reynolds. I also participated in an exchange program in Salamanca, Spain. Today, PTS offers many global trips, ranging from Iceland to China to South Africa, providing students with opportunities for cultural immersion and personal growth. WHY DID YOU COME BACK TO PTS TO WORK? I am genuinely passionate about this school, and I enjoy interacting with people. This position allows me to do just that, connecting with alumni on a daily basis. It's a privilege to work alongside them and contribute to our amazing PTS community. HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR ROLES AS AN ALUM AND A MEMBER OF THE FACULTY/STAFF? DO YOU FIND ANY CHALLENGES OR ADVANTAGES IN THIS DUAL ROLE? As an alumna and the Alumni Relations Coordinator, I can empathize with both fellow alumni and current students, drawing from my own experiences within the school community. Additionally, my long standing connection to Palmer Trinity School, having been a student from sixth through senior year, enhances my dedication to its growth and success. FINALLY, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE ABOUT YOUR UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE AS BOTH AN ALUM AND A CURRENT MEMBER OF THE PTS COMMUNITY? It's incredible to see the growth of the campus, even just over the past five years. Despite these changes, there is still the special essence that is PTS. Through conversations with alumni spanning various graduating years, I can confirm the shared dedication and affection we all hold for this community. As a former student of Palmer School, Trinity Episcopal, or Palmer Trinity School, you are automatically a member of the Palmer Trinity Alumni Association.
