Gratitude Week is one of my favorite events of the school year.
From writing letters of gratitude for your colleagues to the sweet
treats from the PTPA to the gathering around the bell at the end
of the week, it is a time to reflect on how much we value and
appreciate our community. The people are what make Palmer
Trinity School what it is, so it is wonderful to be able to take the
time to acknowledge their hard work and positive contributions."

The week concludes with community wide activities
on Friday. Each student, faculty, and staff member are
asked to write one thing at PTS for which he/she is
grateful. People have the opportunity to pass by the
wall throughout the day to read community members'
expressions of gratitude. The day ends with a Gathering
Around the Bell, a tradition Mr. Roberts initiated in 2014
with The Gratitude Wall serving as a lovely backdrop for
the event. Everyone gathers at the victory bell before the
final dismissal on the Friday before Thanksgiving Break
to celebrate our community and Mr. Roberts wishes
everyone a lovely Thanksgiving break. The Victory Bell
tolls to welcome the beginning of the break.
In the words of our Head of School, Mr. Patrick
Roberts, "Leadership begins with gratitude."
Mr. Roberts endorses and helps to lead each
Gratitude Week. According to Mr. Roberts,
"Dedicating a week to gratitude demonstrates
how truly important it is." Mr. Roberts has
encouraged other schools to implement PTS's
unique Gratitude Week by presenting at the
Florida Council of Independent Schools in
November 2022.
Gratitude is a key element of our "Lead with
Love" approach at PTS. We believe Gratitude
Week not only helps us to celebrate one
another but it also models the spirit of
gratitude for students and parents. It is a
privilege to work alongside such incredible
people and to celebrate one another through
this Palmer Trinity School tradition.
