Roberts Global Learning Endowment Award: Ania Bade, ESOL Director, and Susy Chu, STEM Coordinator. Ania Bade is set to embark on an enlightening journey to Lourdes and Pau, nestled in the picturesque Pyrenees Atlantic region of France. Susy envisions Japan as an exemplary hub for understanding STEM and its practical integration into daily life. Art Teachers Display Work at Exhibition The Visual Arts teachers recently exhibited their artwork in partnership with ArtSouth in the Village of Palmetto Bay at the lovely Perrine Community House. They are grateful to all who joined them that evening. It was a fabulous night! FACULTY AND STAFF PRESENTATIONS This year, there were plenty of opportunities for our faculty and staff to present their insights and expertise at various events. Some of these include: • Leo Llinas presented at the GEBG (Global Education Benchmark Group) Environmental Summit. • PTS faculty and staff presented at FCIS, including Suzanne Calleja together with Tana Llinas, CEO of Brand Poets, and Ernest Robertson, among others. • Adrianna Truby presented at NAIS. • In April, Brittney McCabe traveled to Montreal, Canada to present at GEBG's annual conference on the emphasis colleges are placing on experiential learning. McCabe focused on the many ways experiential learning is central to Palmer Trinity School's curriculum and global citizenship. • Director of Technology Gus Sabogal gave a presentation on A.I. at a Palmetto Bay Business Association Networking Lunch. Members of PTS staff came out to support. • At the PTPA Volunteer Breakfast, Chaplain Cassini was presented with the Spotlight Award. Further Congratulations to Susy Chu, who also won the Teacher Excellence Award from the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA), which recognizes outstanding technology and engineering teachers. Palmer Trinity was also recognized as a 2023-2024 STEM School of Excellence (fourth year in a row!) by the ITEEA. 5
