To this day Shirin credits Mr. Rosen for teaching her oratory and performance skills that she utilizes while giving lectures or presentations at medical conferences. Starting at Palmer Trinity in 9th grade was daunting for Shirin, as it would be for any 14-year-old. Despite not being very social or outgoing initially, she found immediate acceptance among her peers. She recalls that no one made her feel bad about her academic dedication or her introverted nature. Among her fondest memories of Palmer Trinity are the moments she shared with friends, whether laughing over homework while sitting in the courtyard or participating in extracurricular activities. Despite the typical stresses of high school life, Shirin says that she and her friends "could always find time to laugh and goof off at the most mundane things." This nurturing environment at PTS played a crucial role in fostering her self-confidence. Outside of her professional pursuits, Shirin enjoys spending time with her husband, Shubham, and exploring diverse cuisines through dining and cooking. Her wedding in New Delhi, India, marked a celebration blending traditions from her and her husband's backgrounds. Her closest friends from Palmer Trinity were by her side and involved in the wedding itself. They also celebrated in Miami, Florida, where Señor Garcés was in attendance. Everyone had a great time dancing the night away! From her formative years at Palmer Trinity School to her current role, Shirin continues to inspire others through her dedication and authenticity. She plans to finish her fellowship this summer and move back to Miami to join her father's practice. Shirin looks forward to returning to Palmer Trinity as an alumni and student mentor. When asked for advice for current students aspiring to succeed professionally, Shirin emphasizes the importance of honesty and authenticity. She says "If you want to succeed in life, do not try to be someone you are not. Be honest with yourself, your passions and dreams, and be honest in your relationships with others, whether professional or personal." 73
