A D A M B A R R E D O ' 1 5 visited Palmer Trinity to share his journey of humanitarian work in Odessa, Ukraine. D O U G R O T H F E L D T ' 1 0 and C A R M E N X I M E N A P E R E Z ' 2 0 spoke with the Palmer Trinity Investment Club. Doug founded the Investment Club during his time at Palmer Trinity. He attended SMU and currently works at Goldman Sachs. Carmen, a member of the club during her time at PTS, is a senior at NYU Stern and an incoming analyst at Goldman Sachs. E L I Z A B E T H V A L L E J O ' 1 8 was a guest speaker, reflecting on her journey since graduating high school. "Returning to Palmer Trinity as a mentor and speaker at the Girl Powered Event was a great experience," she shared. During her time at Palmer Trinity, Elizabeth served as Student Alumni Association President, contributed to the String Ensemble, managed the Varsity Basketball team, engaged in the Student Diversity Leadership Council, and participated in the Agents of Change Entrepreneurship program. Elizabeth acknowledged the challenges she faced in Math and Science but emphasized her proficiency in English and writing. Despite this, her passion for Technology and STEM remained unwavering. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to demonstrate to students that STEM careers don't exclusively demand technical expertise; instead, a willingness to learn and communicate effectively is paramount. Elizabeth highlighted the importance of maximizing available resources such as classes, clubs, and programs, and encouraged students to use their LinkedIn profiles to showcase their accomplishments and experiences. She is now a Business Development Lead at a start-up. Associate alumna and current Palmer Trinity parent K E L L Y P E A R L S O N F R A I N D ' 0 1 , spoke about her experience as an industrial engineer. M A T T H E W V E G A - S A N Z ' 1 4 and J O S E P H C H A O ' 1 4 presented on Lula and Buggy Miami, respectively, to the Palmer Trinity Investment Club and the Entrepreneurship Class.
