In order to promote a scholastic environment, students are expected to attend all classes regularly and punctually. Chronic tardies or absences on the part of any student are detrimental to the academic environment of the School and the intellectual development of the student. School attendance is the responsibility of parents/guardians and students. e School requests that parents/guardians and students thoughtfully consider the impact of any absence other than one of a medical or family emergency. Families are discouraged from taking students out of school prior to a school break. Routine student appointments, such as doctor, dentist, etc., should be scheduled after school hours or during school holidays. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing documentation regarding student absences to the school office. Students returning to school following any absence, tardy, or early dismissal are required to report to the appropriate office to provide written documentation from a parent, guardian, doctor, etc as to why he/she was absent from school or class. In order for students' absences to be excused, students must present a note. Without a note upon return, the days are unexcused.
