67 F A L L / W I N T E R 2 0 1 6 ALUMNEWS DANIEL MCCAIN writes, "I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Marketing from The University of Notre Dame in May 2016, and as of this August have started my legal education at the Elon University School of Law. I'm set to graduate in December 2018. Since embarking on my legal education, I have become a member of the Greensboro Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and I'm a candidate to join the American Bar Association. At the present moment I'm intending to focus on medical administration law with eventual hopes of becoming general counsel for a hospital." KRISTOF REST writes, "CHRIS MCALPIN '12 and I, along with a few friends, spent the better part of the month exploring the continent of Australia. We were lucky enough to visit Sydney, do some surfing on the Gold Coast, visit the Outback, and dive in the Great Barrier Reef." Kristof recently began working for Jefferies Private Wealth Management as an Analyst. CHRIS MCALPIN graduated from Texas Christian University this spring. After exploring Australia with KRISTOF REST '12, he began law school at Suffolk University in Boston, MA this fall. CAMILA SALAZAR writes, "I just graduated from Cornell University this past May, and I accepted an internship offer with the NPR show Ask Me Another." NATHALIA PENTON writes, "After graduating from American University in Washington, D.C., I spent the summer volunteering with Bike & Build, a non-profit organization that organizes cross-country cycling trips to raise money and awareness for affordable housing. With a team of 29 other people, I volunteered at 15 different affordable housing affiliates, raised over $143,000, and biked over 4,100 miles from Connecticut to California." She kindly asks those getting behind the wheel to give cyclists three feet of space when passing on the road. CAMILA VICTORIANO graduated from Harvard and is moving to California to work as a Business Development Associate for the LA Times. TRENTON BARNES graduated from Southern Methodist University with a double major in Accounting and Sport Management. He is now working as an Inside Sales Representative for the Dallas Stars. ALLIE FUOG writes, "After leaving Palmer in 2010, I finished high school at Miami Southridge Senior High and graduated in 2012 Summa Cum Laude as Student Body President. That fall, I moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to study at Middle Tennessee State University. Murfreesboro is about 30 miles southeast of Nashville. It is one of the fastest growing cities in America! I ended up having a gap year and I graduate in May 2017 with a BS in Accounting. I will go straight into the Master's of Accountancy program at MTSU and during that time, sit for the CPA exam. I currently work for a company called HTI Technology, Inc. in LaVergne, TN ( just north of Murfreesboro) as a Staff Accountant. We manufacture small motors for all kinds of applications and some of our biggest clients are Whirlpool and GE. My boyfriend and I just moved into a new townhome together with our dog, Kona. We've been together for almost 4 years and marriage plans are for after I'm finished with school. I would love to connect with any alumni in the metro- Nashville area!" 2013 CLASS AGENT Preston R. Michelson michelsonpr@gmail.com DANI ALMANZA writes, "I'm entering my senior year at FIU and I'm majoring in International Relations with a minor in Geography. This summer I interned at The Women's Fund Miami and helped set up the Organizing for Change: Students Taking Action Against Human Trafficking Convening." HOPE CLAVIJO is studying biochemistry at FSU, on an executive board of LEAD, a volunteer group that works with underprivileged children and the elderly. CHRISTOPHER FERREIRA is currently working as a Commission Aide for Miami- Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. As Commission Aide, Christopher works on media and legislative draft requests as well as constituent inquiries. Christopher also recently got engaged to Grace Arana and they are planning to get married sometime in 2017. LIZZIE EVERSOLE writes, "This summer I interned with the marketing and sales team at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, Florida. I worked within our set budget to create marketing campaigns and promotional strategies to increase sales for our shows. At the end of the internship, I gave a pitch presentation to the Board of Directors on ways the Arsht Center could improve its sales strategies. I am currently a senior at the University of Florida pursuing a marketing degree. I serve as the philanthropy chair for Delta Gamma. This gives me an opportunity to support amazing causes locally in Gainesville and across the nation. This year I was fortunate enough to be crowned Miss Greek 2016, which is a philanthropy pageant that raises money for the American Cancer Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds!" SEAN SABAGOL writes, "I'm currently at Florida State University as an incoming sophomore double majoring in Political Science and Economics. I plan on interning for Marco Rubio in the spring if given the opportunity, and this year I plan to attempt to join several organizations on campus regarding politics and law. I worked for Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen throughout the majority of the summer helping local constituents with their issues. I've had the chance to meet the Congresswoman several times during the whole experience, and she's extremely kind. I know she's a wonderful friend of Palmer Trinity. She was very happy to meet an alumnus from there like myself." ROB MOREAN writes, "I was recently signed by True Model Management in New York City, a boutique modeling agency. I am hard at work planning the second "Raise Your Voice: A Cabaret for a Cure" as the executive producer and artistic director, in partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society who is sponsoring the event, along with Wells Fargo and other donors. The event will be held in New York City at the Skirball Center on October 16, 2016, and tickets can be purchased at www. raiseyourvoicecabaret.com. I've attached the poster.
