I teach two modalities, Soul Motion, and my own creation, Dance Intuition. I'm working in the field of expressive arts and dementia. I've been married for 21 years and have two wonderful teenagers, Henry An, and Greta Joy." 1988 CLASS AGENT Elena (Essen) Endara partyuv5@bellsouth.net ROELOF DE GROOT writes, "I currently live in New Jersey and work in Philadelphia at Hilton Worldwide. I'm a Restaurant Chef for an Italian restaurant. I recently married and have two children. One is 2 and the other is 11." MICHAEL HAGGARD writes, "As many of you may know, I have lived with PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) for several years. Last year, I was blessed to find my donor match—my brother-in- law Allen Buckhalt! Our kidney transplant surgery was a success and I am happy to report we are both doing great! Since then, I have been coaching my son's football team, spending time with family, running a busy practice as Managing Partner of The Haggard Law Firm, and serving as the President-Elect of the National Crime Victim Bar Association." 1989 CLASS AGENT Scott Shelfer scott@exactaland.com 1990 CLASS AGENT Peter Baumberger psb@kubickidraper.com DIANA FAHMIE writes, "I've been digging deep into the food culture community in Asheville since moving here in May of 2014. I am currently the Chef at 1900 Inn on Montford, in Asheville's historic Montford district. The Inn is an AAA Four-Diamond Bed and Breakfast, one of only eleven bed and breakfasts out of over 450 in North Carolina that have this distinction. I share my home with my two canines and a feline and live at the base of the Pisgah National Forest. My fondest memories include playing three sports alongside DENISE (CIPRIANO) HINMAN '91, an HoF member, and our senior cruise chaperoned by MARTY MIGLIACCIO and ELENA DE VILLIERS. As well, Dante Fascell was our keynote speaker for graduation. It was truly an honor to have him there with us. Going to a school that valued integrity and sportsmanship in competitions made me very honored to represent Palmer as an athlete. (I believe Palmer had a very long stretch of years to which we received the [FHSAA] Sportsmanship Award). We were then a very small school competing against teams that had two or three times the number of student-athletes to form a team with; even when we were out-played, we were never outclassed. Credit goes to coaches like MARTY MIGLIACCIO, MARK OLIVER, and MICHELLE (BRENNER) MONDELL for stressing the importance of playing fair, with zero tolerance for showboating. The lessons I learned at Palmer are ones that are still crucial to my everyday success, as well as an integral theme throughout my culinary career." CATHERINE (MCGEHEE) JOHNSTON writes, "I live in Melbourne, Australia and have two beautiful daughters and an amazing Australian husband. I am a former high school teacher and have just started my own business teaching creative writing classes to primary and secondary students. I am passionate about literacy and think of my years at Palmer as the inspiration for this next phase in my career in education." 1991 CLASS AGENT NEEDED LETITIA CALDERON is working with the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind under a service to families provided by the state of Florida. She writes, "As a parent advisor, I work with families of deaf and hard of hearing children ages 0-5 in South Florida." 1992 CLASS AGENT Nickaros Sanchoo nickaros.sanchoo@gmail.com NINA GARCIA writes from Maryland, "I've been a dermatology physician assistant. I have two beautiful kids, Mia and Charlie." 1993 CLASS AGENT Amanda R. Matalon amandamatalon@gmail.com 1994 CLASS AGENTS Campbell Walker cwalker@lincolnharris.com Charles H. Baumberger, Jr. baumberger16@gmail.com Catherine (McGehee) Johnston '90 Diana Fahmie '90, Executive Chef in Asheville, NC Nina Garcia '92 and her daughter Mia On the beach with Lucca, son of Adriana Varela '96
