OF THE CLASS OF 2001 WAS NOT A
TYPICAL PALMER TRINITY STUDENT.
At seventeen years old, his family made a
decision to move to the United States that
would change his life forever. rough
company benefits, his father was offered
the chance to have Juan Camilo's education
completely paid for. And so, wanting his son
to receive an international high school diploma
and perfect his English, Juan Camilo was

Adjusting to life in a new country with a
different culture was not easy.
"During the first couple of months I felt like a
fish out of water. I had no friends, and everyone
in the senior class already knew each other," said
Juan Camilo, "I was an outsider."
Faculty member Raul Gonzalez remembers,
